C compile time

Okay, I've done that. I can't quite explain the
results (yes checking is disabled, machine otherwise
idle):
-O2      -O2 -funit...      -O2 -finline-f...
453.50   449.82             531.44
         -0.8%              +17.2%

Hope this helps. I'm a bit surprised by the -O2
-funit... timings, as well as the fact that plain -O2
is now 6% faster than withh 20030614, so I'll try to
reconfirm these timings.
