Actually, this has been fixed for a long time:

date: 2002/02/24 19:08:22;  author: tromey;  state: Exp;  lines: +2 -1
        * log_accum: Recognize any number of Gnats bug ids.

At least, this was fixed in the general sources.redhat.com log_accum.
