C++ front end volunteer wanted!

Hi!

we (the C++ run time library people) have in the making a nice 
improvement for basic_string in a multithreaded environment prepared by 
Nathan Myers:

    http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/libstdc++/2003-04/msg00043.html

However, due to a C++ front end bug (c++/11094, see also 
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/libstdc++/2003-04/msg00073.html), Nathan had to 
use a workaround.

May I ask your help?
