and i vote against doing anything political. i always thought, linux and
especially gcc was a piece of software, which was developed by people, who
needed some functionality or feature for their platform. 

IMHO, if SCO support was stopped, _all_ other politically non-correct OS
vendors (especially Microsoft) would have to be blocked aswell. so
i think, leaving things as they are will be the best solution: developers and
users stick together and let others fight their wars. 

i slightly get the impression, that you folks (nothing personal Don, this is
just  because the'cisco.com' in your email address) from apple, cisco, suse and
so forth try to persuade us to act against SCO. not that i tolerated or
supported SCO's actions against the open source world, but ... well, GCC should
be neutral towards SCO's customers.
