However, the visibility of Free Software in general and Gcc in 
particular is much more wide-spread now - after all that's what the 
lawsuit is about.

In any case, I have no illusion that a boycott would change SCO's 
behavior.  We should still do it, though, to make a stance, and to help 
make the point to other companies that this kind of behavior has 
negative consequences.
