Successful Build Report for GCC 3.2.3

Hello!

Here is a report of a(nother) successful build of GCC 3.2.3 on a RedHat 
7.2 system.

Linux information:-

OS Distribution: RedHat 7.2 (Enigma), kept up to date with RedHat's 
Update Agent, and up to date as of 1 July 2003.

Linux kernel version ('uname -a'):
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.4.20-18.7custom-olympus-1 #2 Tue Jul 1 
18:08:35 BST 2003 i686 unknown

glibc version ('rpm -q glibc'):
glibc-2.2.4-32

Additional information:-

This was a build of the full GCC 3.2.3 release, which was a full GCC 3.2 
release patched up to GCC 3.2.3.

The '--program-suffix=-3.2' configure option was used to avoid name 
clashes with RedHat 7.2's EGCS.

The kernel is built from RedHat's kernel-source-2.4.20-18.7 RPM package, 
which came through their Update Agent as an update.  The configuration 
is customised to suit my particular system, but is otherwise a normal 
RedHat Linux kernel.

A possible omission in my report is whether or not anything extra needed 
to be done for the system's runtime linker to know where to find GCC 
3.2.3's shared libraries.  This is because I'd previously built and 
installed GCC 3.2 (which I manually uninstalled prior to this new 
installation).  I think I had to do something back then (possibly adding 
a line to /etc/ld.so.conf, or possibly just running ldconfig), but I 
can't remember for sure.

Anyway, a simple, 'Hello, world!' program works, so all seems well so far!
