Wrong mappin of registers in location lists

Andrew,

the problem is that GDB matches the ABI and GCC is divergent.  So, the
question is what to do:
- fix GCC
- change ABI and fix GDB

This might also involve changes to the kernel - we're currently
looking into the impact of all of this.  If you have any further
details of the impact, please contact me off-line so that we can work
on a good solution,
