The just built gcc does not work.  It isn't clear if this is a gcc 
problem or a binutils problem.  The problem with main and atexit implies 
that binutils-2.14 is incompatible with the system startfiles and 
libraries.  If that is the case, then you might have to build your own 
copy of the OpenBSD C library to get this working.  Or try a build using 
the system linker instead of the binutils-2.14 linker.

You could try submitting a bug report into our bugzilla database, but 
this doesn't look like something we can do much about.  If OpenBSD is 
intentionally using old or modified binutils, then we probably have to 
rely on them to fix problems.
