Friendly install

I was wondering if there are other docs that I can
read to build/install gcc 3.3.1 other then the main
doc at gcc.gnu.org. 

Since Im new to GNU/Linux and all, that manual has a
lot of 'things' that I dont really understand. So if
anyone can point me in the right direction for
complete n00b's guide to build gcc ;), I would really
appreciate it. Thxs.
