Note that I've just included a fix for redhat 9 tasking on act's tree,
so I'd suggest you pick up this change (tomorrow, after the mirror) instead,
at least for the HEAD.

For the 3.3 branch, your previous patch is fine (now, you may want for
consistency to use the same approach on both branches).
