ARC/Argonaut questions

I am currently trying to build an x86 cross for the ARC/Argonaut 
platform. I have been through the mail archives and a number of the 
issues I am encountering seem to have been encountered by others, but 
most of the threads seem to be dead-ended.

Also there are a couple of patches posted up(in mail) that might be of 
use to me, but they don't seem to have ever made it into the code base 
and I did see that the former maintainer has resigned.

Since I haven't been a member of this list in  long time, could somebody 
point me to where I could get the current status of gcc for the 
ARC/Argonaut platform and possibly who the current maintainer is?
