64-bit C-compiling on AIX

Hello!

Tried to compile and link a 64-bit HelloWorld.c
with
	- gcc 3.2.1 and
	- binutils 2.13.2 (as, ld)
and failed during linking:
	> gcc -maix64 -o HelloWorld HelloWorld.c
	"collect2: ld returned 1 exit status"

lsattr -El proc0:	type PowerPC_POWER3

I'm not able to build 64-bit C-apps at all.
Tried also version 2.95.3 and 3.0.1.

It is possible to build 32-bit apps.

I searched the whole internet and didn't find out what's wrong.
Need urgent help ?
