GCC for 8051 microcontrollers

Hi,


I was just wondering if GCC has been ported (or a backend written) to
the 8051 microcontroller?

I saw some mails from Anja Mueller in 2000 (googling around) in the GCC
list about that she was trying to port GCC to the 8051 microcontroller.

However, I could not contact her at her email address, because it does
not exist any more.
