GNATS loosing bug reports?

Hello,

on March 14th, I filed a bug report 'c++/5964: g++ generates code that
results in "word displacement will not fit in 16 bits" on sparcv9'
(Might be that category 'target' would have been more appropriate, but
that is not the issue I want to talk about here.) The report was
propagated to the gcc-bugs mailing list and I got an acknowledgment
that the report was received. But when I query for the number 5964 on
the GNATS web interface, it says that there is no such report. Is
GNATS buggy or is it just me that is buggy?

The bug report I am talking about is at
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-bugs/2002-03/msg00509.html.

As this bug can be reproduced in an easy way on sparcv9, I would be
happy to see this fixed before the 3.1 release.

Robert
