Tom, you write a very long message, full of theories that may or may not
be correct (in my opinion, mostly not correct, but it would probably take
more time than I want to spend to refute it all), but what's the point?
What, specifically, would you like to see happen, and if this requires
financial resources, where will those resources come from?

Concrete proposals might be relevant to this list, but political
discussion and analysis just generates long threads and point-by-point
rebuttals that waste everyone's time.
