Stage 1 for the GCC 3.2 release was supposed to end on June 15th -- but
I neglected to remind people of that fact.
Therefore, we'll have a one-week extension of Stage 1 -- through June 22nd.
(Stage 2, however, will still end on August 15th; we will shorten Stage 2
by one week.)
If there are major changes that people intend to get into the compiler,
now is the time to do it. (There are already some major improvements,
such as the DFA scheduler, in GCC 3.2.)
After that point, we should not be making major changes (i.e., new
optimization passes) to the compiler. Instead, smaller improvements
and bug-fixing are the order of the day.
See:

for more information about Stage 1 vs. Stage 2.
Yours,
