GCC-3.1: g++ and default parameters of methods

Hi.

Much thanks to you both Oscar and Tkil to point to the relevant
section of the C++ Standard. I thought the price for a copy of the C++
Standard is higher - but I'll invest in a copy as soon as possible ;-)
