HELP - gcc package install

	Hi,

	Trying to install the gcc3.1 on a SunOS 5.8 Generic_108528-06 sun4u sparc 
SUNW,Sun-Blade-1.

	Downloaded the gcc-3.1-sol8-sparc-local.gz, gunziped and tried pkgadd -d 
<dir> and it could not find the package.

	What I am missing here?
