Convert 3.2 sources to ISO C90

   How is this different from any other OS that may change under us?  If
   the OS changes in some horrible way that makes it incompatible with a
   previous version, someone with a supported compiler (vendor, cross,
   previous gcc, whatever) has to build it to make it available to the next
   generation.
