In various places, e.g. near the top of the webpage at

  http://gcc.gnu.org/benchresults/

you refer the reader to the 
 "GCC Benchmarks and Testsuite Results Mini-FAQ",
with the URL
  http://www.gcc.za.org/benchtest-faq.html

However, that URL seems to be outdated or broken.
