Before merging please make sure that

(a) all new source files, command-line options, etc., are documented on 
the branch;

(b) that the patch is spellchecked (changes in this area have tended to 
introduce a substantial number of spelling errors in the past).

(This applies to all merges where the branch may not have been carefully
following the standards applicable to mainline at all times; BIB should
have been following those standards given the intent for an immediate
merge but others may have been less careful.)
