max register number.

Hi,

Reading through the GCC manual, it says that compiler
generates RTL assuming an infinite pseudo registers.

I am wondering if some one has measured maximum number
of pesudo regs generated for real application
programs.
And is there a way to measure how many are 
finally made memory locations.
