Running gdb 5.2.1 on programs compiled with gcc 3.1.1 on SCO Open Server 5.0.6

Title: Running gdb 5.2.1 on programs compiled with gcc 3.1.1 on SCO Open Server 5.0.6





I wonder if anybody have any idea why I get 

"Cannot convert floating-point register value to non-floating-point type" immediately when I start the program if I have define argc as an argument to main

If I use an older gdb (5.1.1) it is no problem
