PR 2875, regression with -fPIC?

Hi,

I am looking at:

If I compile the supplied preprocessed source with:

g++ -v -c -DACE_MT_SAFE=0 -W -Wall -Wpointer-arith -O3 \ 
     -g -Wno-uninitialized -fno-implicit-templates \
     -DACE_HAS_EXCEPTIONS -fPIC -c Log_Record.ii

If I use: gcc version 3.0 20010507, it compiles fine.

If I use the latest snapshot at:
http://www.codesourcery.com/gcc-compile.shtml

I get an ICE.

If I remove the -fPIC flag, I do not get an ICE with the latest snapshot.

Is this a regression with the -fPIC flag?
