Yep.  I'd forgotten about this issue until this morning when Andrew
Haley mentioned having problems.  Binutils 2.10 will indeed build
incorrect shared libraries, as you saw here.

I've updated the requirement to binutils 2.11.

Do check to see whether this is fixed or not.  I am not aware
of any outstanding issues on alpha at this time.
