I've been looking at this myself. libstdc++-v3 testsuite is not running
here either. I have dejagnu 1.4 and it does not experience this problem
(1.4.1 regsub problem).
My logs indicate the following:
make check-DEJAGNU
make[3]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/build/gcc-3.0/i686-pc-linux-gnu/libstdc++-v3/testsuite'
Making a new site.exp file...

EXPECT=expect; export EXPECT; \
if [ -f ../../expect/expect ]; then \
TCL_LIBRARY=`cd /usr/src/cvs/gcc-3.0/libstdc++-v3/../tcl/library && pwd`; \
export TCL_LIBRARY; \

runtest=runtest; \
if /bin/sh -c "$runtest --version" > /dev/null 2>&1; then \
$runtest --tool libstdc++-v3 --srcdir $srcdir ; \
else echo "WARNING: could not find \`runtest'" 1>&2; :;\

Native configuration is i686-pc-linux-gnu
=== libstdc++-v3 tests ===
Schedule of variations:
unix
Running target unix
Using /usr/share/dejagnu/baseboards/unix.exp as board description file for target.
Using /usr/share/dejagnu/config/unix.exp as generic interface file for target.
Using /usr/src/cvs/gcc-3.0/libstdc++-v3/testsuite/config/default.exp as tool-and-target-specific interface file.
=== libstdc++-v3 Summary ===
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/build/gcc-3.0/i686-pc-linux-gnu/libstdc++-v3/testsuite'
By looking at libstdc++-v3/testsuite and libjava/testsuite I cannot find
any relevant differences. Anyone have an idea? Or is dejagnu 1.4.1+fix
needed for libstdc++-v3 testsuite?
