Some more issues with the current state of these pages:
* All non-historical EGCS references in the GCC web pages have been
removed. Those in the Java web pages need to be removed too.
* As well as EGCS references, java/papers/compiling.html has some more
problems, such as MS-specific characters (0x92, 0x96, 0x97) not in ISO
8859-1 and use of Javascript (surely not needed for a static paper), and
many image references broken on both sources.redhat.com and gcc.gnu.org -
though I can't actually find any links to this page in the GCJ web pages
(though there's a broken link to a compiling.html on www.cygnus.com).
