PowerPC assigning hard regs to things all of the sudden

Possibly this is the reason why.
Then again, it was also weird because after i updated and rebuild this
morning, i was  getting  linking errors with emit-rtl.o having undefined
symbols. I removed it  manually, and the errors went away. It all seemed
too odd a sequence to  not be related, so i rebootstrapped, and it all
went away.

Weird.
