AIX Status

Overnight, I got a successful bootstrap on AIX, with
--disable-multilib (thanks Benjamin), but otherwise out of the box.

There are some configury and atomicity.h changes in my tree that were
required.  I believe these changes to be correct, but I'm not going to
check them in until I actually get AIX *working* and can be sure I did
the right thing.  If you're interested, and know about either AIX,
libtool, or V3, you should probably take a look and see if I'm losing
it.  Sorry that the patches aren't properly commented yet, and that
there's no ChangeLog -- I haven't gotten there yet.

Still, I consider this major progress.

Hopefully, I'll be able to figure out why the library doesn't work
today/tonight.
