Bootstrap comparison failure on i686-linux

It doesn't help on alphaev6-unknown-linux-gnu:

recog.o differs
reload.o differs
stor-layout.o differs
java/class.o differs
java/parse.o differs

so we have to dig deeper.

It's also not in Mark's ggc-page.c patch - I tried bootstrapping without
it, with the same (unsatisfactory) result ...

Ideas, anyone ?
