Simple benchmarks with gcc-3_0-branch

Yes, they are generally available, but not so easy to use.

First, one builds the Scheme runtime and compiler (all in C);
there is a makefile for this.

Then, one compiles the benchmarks from Scheme to C, compiles
the C code, links with the Scheme runtime; there is a shell
script for this.

I suppose this could be automated with a different script
to start with C code rather than Scheme.
I don't have time to do this now.

html generator and a Perl-style regexp clone.  The html
