In the sense that no one is working on Sun 3 support, support is
not present, but the bits are still in the code. We can't ask people
to stop fixing ports that lots of people use in favor of a port that
no one uses.
At the risk of stating the obvious:
If you run the tests, you will find either that:
1. Miracle. It actually works. Cool, let us know.
2. It doesn't work, but the problem is easily fixable. Cool, send a patch
(or maybe someone else will).
3. It doesn't work, and it's not clear why not. We can then say
with confidence that it doesn't work. Interested people can try
to fix things later.
I'm afraid that the answer will be #3.
So: more information is always welcome. But if the information is
"it doesn't work", that's probably how it will stay.
