preprocessor in g77?

Hello,
   I was wondering if there are any allowable 
precessor statements in the current 2.95.4
g77? I have some source code that needs to be
ported to g77 which uses

#if defined(USE_GETSEED)
...
#else
...
#endif

That doesn't appeared to be allowed. What approach
is available to do preprocessing in g77?
