Switch statement: extra out-of-bounds code emitted

thanks. I looked for VRP and found patch 4 in the
gcc list archive.  Unfortunately, it has been deeply html-ized
so I can't actually use it.  And I looked in the 3.0.2 source
but it didn't leap out at me.

What is the status of VRP?  Can you send me a fresh patch?
