register elimination problem

I have a patch which adds this for m68k, but this patch also adds other
stuff like prologue/epilogue/return patterns and there are some small
dependencies. I still have to update this patch to the current sources,
so right now I have no simple test case. I can try to extract this
change, but that will need at least two days. :)
