3.0.1 Builds -- 8 wins, 1 loss

Several successfull 3.0.1 builds to report:
 i686-pc-linux-gnu (Linux Red Hat 6.2)
 i686-pc-linux-gnu (Linux Red Hat 7.1)
 mips-sgi-irix6.5
 mips-sgi-irix6.2
 alpha-dec-osf4.0d
 sparc-sun-solaris2.6
 sparc-sun-solaris2.7
 sparc-sun-solaris2.8

[Note that I had to redo the irix6.2 build with a shortened
 --prefix= 'cause it generated an "argument list too long"
 error on a recursive make invocation.  Otherwise they went
 straight through out of the tarball.]

One problematic bulid:

 i686-pc-linux-gnu (Linux Red Hat 5.2)
  * problem with ucontext.h (gnats entry filed)
  * some weirdness with _IO_2_1_stderr_ unresolved building
    gij in the java stuff -- I punted, and did a make -t
    since I don't need java.
