Variable LONG_TYPE_SIZE and MAX_LONG_TYPE_SIZE

Yep, it must be a compile-time constant since it's used to compute the
length of some arrays.

Rely on LONG_TYPE_SIZE, not on MAX_LONG_TYPE_SIZE, to issue the
warning?
