Current GCC seems to be worse in Spec95

This must be something that changed in my own installation. I
have been using CVS snapshots from Apr15, Apr17 and Apr18. They
all get the same SPEC mark: 30.
I do not know why we were getting 32 before. This is very odd.
I'll try a couple of earlier dates as well. I'm trying to
remember what else might have changed in the system that day, but
nothing significant comes to mind.
