There are over a thousand warnings when bootstrapping
alphaev6-unknown-linux-gnu of the form:

1339 passing arg ??? of \`???' with different width due to prototype

See

http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-testresults/2001-04/msg00231.html

I don't remember seeing these before, and I'm wondering what they're about.

I'm running Red Hat 6.0 with updates to various things, especially
glibc-2.1.3.
