no cc or gcc

Hey!

I just installed Linux Mandrake and when i try to ./configure something (I've tried several applications), it tells me that I am missing autorun, aclocal, etc. And then it stops when it reaches gcc and cc, saying that there is no acceptable path (its is proabably also missing). (Also i can't run .bins among other stuff). I am new at this and I have been looking all over the web for the answer. Can you help me? I would really appreciate it.
