gcc and dwarf output

Ron,

I read in a gcc FAQ that you did the major work on the dwarf debugging output of the gcc.
We have some trouble with gcc x-compiler on solaris as host and powerpc as target. It crashes while compiling with
-gdwarf-2.

Do you know something about the status of the debugging code?

There are open Reports in gnats:

#138: egcs internal compiler error on dwarf-2
#948: internal compiler error in "dwarfout-finish"
#1043: line information unmatch (ELF dwarf format)
#1593: internal compiler error using -gdwarf or -gdwarf-2 option
#1794: the compiler gives a seg fault when debug option is passed
#2093: ingernal compiler error emitting DWARF2 for nested functions

It seems that that problem is inherited through all versions of egcs till now (gcc 3.1). Do you know someone who is
working on that? Is there (will there be) a fix available?

Hope you can help me...

Thanks,
Stefan
