Thanks Eric,

I can confirm that the October 29 snapshot solved the problem I was
reporting, after changing my code so as not to use operator names.
I believe fixing -fno-operator-names would be a good idea:
people used to 2.95.2 may need to use it for some time;
they may also rely on libraries (still using operator names)
on which they have little control.

BTW, thanks to all RedHat people that answered my message.
They have been very kind and helpful.

P.S.  For those non-RedHat people who answered my message
      with CS101 lessons, teaching me what a backup is and
      how it can be used, going on to speculate that since
      I have no backups (they say) then my project must be junk...
      to all those:  find something better to do, rather than
      sending stupid answers to messages that were not directed
      to you and that, moreover, you did not even read.
