What do you mean by a clash between the sysem unwind conventions
and gcc's unwind conventions? Originally the discussion was about the
calling convention but Dwarf-2 is the format of the exception / unwind
tables.
GCC targeted to AIX follows the PowerOpen ABI calling convention,
but the recent improvement in exception handling support uses the GCC
Dwarf-2 exception handling, not the IBM XLC format and unwind mechanisms.
If your statement above about unwind conventions refers to the
format of the tables themselves, then I do not know of any GCC target
which matches the native system exception handling tables, unless it just
happens to use GCC's Dwarf-2 tables.
