ARC Port update

GCC team,

Can anybody point me to info/procedures (or suggest steps to take) about how I
might best merge development that has been going on for the 'ARC' (Cores) port
into GCC and related tools like 'binutils' and gdb?

I have recently taken over some compiler work (here at ARC) and would like, in
the long term, merge in work that has been going on with GCC (and binutils,
gdb, ..) I have to resolve some issues with the stability of the build/port so
far, but would like/hope to take this port out and sync this with an
appropriate (CVS read) snapshot/release. The port is currently based on an
out-of-date release of GCC (v 2.8.50) and similar for binutils etc.. I would
also hope to continue working on GCC and the ARC port specifically after this
stage.
