Just recently I found `make stage_c' to be a useful thing to test
how an optimization change affects the compiler itself. We had
no way previously to only do a bootstrap halfway through.
Well, no automatic way, you mean.
I think a large part of the problem may just be a lack of the documentation.
Where is "make stage_c" documented?
