Any specific reason why you would like to install egcs-1.1.2 on this
system? IMHO you'd better use gcc-2.95.2, which compiles right out of
the box on IRIX 6.x systems.

Try to do without a target. The configure is smart enough to guess the
target OS when you're using the system's native compiler.

I have no idea, please supply some more information on what you're
doing, and some more error messages.
BTW: SGI has a gcc-2.95.2 binary on their "SGI Freeware" CD or website.
Check out the "Freeware" CDs or http://freeware.sgi.com/ .
