Please have a look at < http://gcc.gnu.org >, in particular
< http://gcc.gnu.org/install/ >.

Please note that according to GNU terminology (GCC is the GNU Compiler
Collection), the OS is called GNU/Linux, as Linux itself is not an OS,
just a kernel.
