Yup, that's a bug.  The new macro parser is too eager to issue error messages.
Same bug as the "`#' not followed by a macro name" error in object-like macros.

I'll try to get this patched in the next couple of days.  I was on vacation all
last week, just got back an hour ago - please be patient.
