__LP64__ defined on Alpha Linux?

I don't really care (I'm using my Alpha now since some years and survived
without __LP64__),
but could you share your reasons with us? And afaik, Solaris (Sun cc or
gcc, I don't know
as I don't have access to such a machine) on 64bit Sparcs also defines
this.
