SSE Support for ia32?

Hi GCC developers,

is there any support in GCC for the ia32's Streaming SIMD Extensions
(SSE) and for SSE2?  Or are there any plans to do so?

With SSE2 especially we could use the the eight XMM registers e.g. as
scalar floating point registers.  I didn't look closer into the Intel
Specs but guess that further extensions are also possible
(e.g. handling of 64bit integers).
